Track has always been a huge part of my life. I have always been a hard worker, and when I reached my goals, I always wanted more. Going into college heightened this drive for excellence. With this drive, I ultimately believed I needed to exercise more than before, which led me to neglect the rest and fuel I needed

I used to believe that the less I ate, the faster and more fit I would become. I didn't know any better; it is what social media preaches! This belief and over-exercising led to me developing RED-S my freshman year. RED-S left me with poor performance, muscle loss, and disrupted hormones. No one wants to live like that. RED-S taught me that less food = better
performance is FAR FROM TRUE! After suffering with RED-S for months, I finally decided it was time to put myself first and focus on true fueling. Teaching myself that food is fuel has led me back to where I am today. Today, I can gladly say I am back to being a strong performer, with a happy mind. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for focusing on nourishing my body the correct way. It's also so amazing to be able to enjoy myself again!!
